I was down in China Town-Gallery Place DC, and as I was briskly walking down the street on my way to a movie with a guy who left me his card at my restaurant... I looked up and saw the architecture on this building, and I really liked it! I tried taking a lot of pictures, but none of them were light enough. Finally I waited until traffic was slowed-stood in the road- and snapped a picture. ^_^ Not the best quality, but the story behind it was sure to amuse you!
Yay, I'm excited. I'll find something. What do you mean not good quality? Looks crisp to me, and interesting. ::puzzled::
So I had two finalists for this pairing: a serious one, and a humorous one. I liked that this one turned the "upward glances" prompt around, and you have the object of the photo glancing up at the viewer instead of the viewer glancing upward. That, and I couldn't let this one go because I laugh whenever I see this picture. At some point Portland hipster culture noticed these quirky old-world horse ties in all the old neighborhoods, and mine is pretty old, 1900s-1930s. And now I can hardly walk a block without passing a miniature steed lashed to an iron rings. Anyway, I hope you get a smile from this one. :)
Wow... that is so random! Only in Portland. I'm pretty intrigued by the art terrorism that goes on up there- it's really neat! I especially like the idea of art that is provocative without being gross- like this. Neat interpretation!
