windgate

  1. I saw this sunset just over the roof of a grocery store- I was super late to the class I was heading to, but I chased this shot for a good 5 minutes around the building until I could get a good angle. I like how these two photos are taken at the same time of year- and feel similar, yet completely different in color.
That stone in your image is gorgeous! I am having a hard time understanding if it's a statue or a natural wonder, but either way it's stunning.

  2. Oh my god I love this pairing! I've been staring at it for a while and I haven't come up with a way to describe it. But it's so exciting! The color contrast, the light in the clouds -- mine sunrise, yours sunset. And the line of bare winter trees stretches to the same imaginary line in both perspectives. Really cool! I have to confess now that it is a statue, at Reed, across from my building. It's my favorite campus art piece, and it's called the windgate. I love your windgate. :)
